We came in not expecting much but I wasvery pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! Everything we ordered was excellent. The staff are really friendly and our waiter Adrian went above and beyond, even gave us a tour of the kitchen and introduced us to the chef which our kids really appreciated. Would highly recommend, worth every penny in my opinion :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The Octopus and scallop appetizers were great. The server recommended the lobster pasta over the Wagyu pasta, but it didn’t taste like it was lobster and the sauce had nothing to it. The atmosphere was perfect but both of our main dishes could use some work. Desserts were very good. Overall I wouldn’t recommend or go back. Tico Tica is far better. We had a great dinner at La Finca at the Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the start. The tequila cocktails were excellent — smoky with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely one of the better drinks I’ve had all week. We ordered the crispy mixed seafood, which was good — nothing over the top, but solid and enjoyable. They also brought over a fruit “caviar”-style appetizer along with bread and a butternut squash spread. The spread was delicious and full of flavor. The fruit caviar was impressive visually, even if it wasn’t exactly my thing. The entrées were the highlight of the night. The squid ink ravioli was rich and flavorful, and the crispy pork belly was outstanding — easily the best meal I had all week in Costa Rica. Overall, I left satisfied and would absolutely recommend La Finca for a great meal with excellent service and standout entrées.
