The La Fleur de Lys in Shaftesbury is an amazing place to visit. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. Mary and David, the owners, are incredibly kind and make sure that you have everything you need. The rooms are comfortable and spotless, with a laptop and internet access in each one. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is absolutely delicious. The presentation of the dishes is outstanding and the flavors are unique and special. The wine list is also excellent and offers a great selection. The staff are attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, La Fleur de Lys is a wonderful place to stay and dine. Highly recommended!

What a surprise. La Fleur de Lys deserves its good reputation. Food was of a very high standard and the service was discreet and professional. The chef came to the table to check all were satisfied and we were. I wasn't expecting such a treat. Service: 5

Rooms: Comfortable with a fridge as well as the usual tea making facilities. Clean but perhaps a little dated. Walkability: A few moments from the centre of town. Plenty of good walks from the hotel. Food and drinks: We travelled nearly two hours for dinner and it was well worth it. The dishes were imaginative, well presented and tasted great. The wine we selected was also excellent. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 5
