This place lost its identity. It's trying to be everything but sucks at it all. Is it a Mexican place? a Sports Bar? a family restaurant? Theres TVs everywhere (not that big) but the noise and music prevent you from hearing it. The music isn't mexican that they play, and the food is very "americanized" so its not a great Mexican option. But the worst is the NOISE!!!! The new owners decided to have bare walls (painted though) which amplifies the sound of the teenage dates, half drunk birthday party attendees, music, some TV noise, crying babies, the clearing of tables dishes, etc. ITS SO LOUD! Its like "Messy Joes" from IT Crowd! The average decibel rating is in the mid 80s range when I got home! I talked with the servers to try an move tables, but its the same situation in every room. They first pretended like its not that loud, but some other servers backed me up. One of the original ones came back to me at the end and changed his stance and admitted it was like a school cafeteria. The manager didn't even apologize for the experience. So not a good restaurant option UNLESS you just want to play games on your phone and be stressed out from all the noise! ANOTHER UPDATE: Stopped in here again. We wanted a Mexican meal, but again, didn't want a TexMex delusion of authentic dishes. LA Hacienda didn't disappoint as usual. It was very busy, Friday and Saturdays are. We wanted a booth, but so does everyone else, so we waited and eventually got one. Seating staff is very helpful and accommodating. This time, things were a little off in a couple of areas, service and drinks. The food was outstanding as usual, I had the Hacienda Fajitas, the picture shows it in a cored pineapple. Huge amount of food for the price. The drinks, unfortunately, were not up to par when ordered. Long Island Ice Teas are our go to drink, so we know how they should taste. You have your choice, basic or top shelf. We get the low end, this is actually the best way to see how the bar makes them. If the low end is on point, you can bet the Top Shelf is it. Well, this day they used a mix, and it wasn't good. Bartenders and management will allow them to use a pre-made mix, but it was way off. Too sweet. We tried to add a shot, but the mix was overpowering. I went to the bar with the drinks and told the bartender what the problem was, she readily made the effort to fix them, and who I can assume was the manager, asked what was the issue. Once I explained the issue, stated he would take care of it. I said I had already asked the bartender, and they went out of their way to fix the issue. A good sign that the customer is important. The food was great, drinks were disappointing, but fixed by the staff. My recommendation is that if you have an issue, be sure to tell them and they will make it right. We will be back, because they do make a concentrated effort to satisfy you however they can... Went back today, in the area for lunch/dinner, and was not disappointed! Dishes were absolutely what you would expect! Service is great, very attentive. Try this place if your in the area. UPDATED REVIEW: We found this place by chance, gave it a shot. Strong drinks, great food. Mostly authentic dishes, but you can see the TEX MEX influence. Dishes are good and large portions. Lots of screens for news and sports, Hispanic stations too! Service is good too! Update: Went back on Sunday in July and it seems that the place has changed a little bit. Menus are different, greeted nicely as we entered. Same atmosphere, no changes to the decor. Food was good, better in fact. Menu items are different and we ordered a few things, all were well above expectations. Drinks aren't as strong as we remembered. Pricey, but then everything has gone up, those have too.
