I’ve never left a review before, but I have no choice but to leave one after seeing the owner respond to bad reviews from entitled bigots. I came on a busy Saturday night, and the host who sat us down was very friendly. I was a little unsure about paying for chips and salsa, but understood completely after receiving them. Easily the best I’ve ever had. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. The food came out before we finished our chips. I specifically came here because the restaurant offered birria tacos, and they were unbelievable. This was some of the best Mexican food I’ve had. Thank you for an unbelievable experience. Overall La Mesa Modern Mexican is an excellent restaurant. The tacos were delicious boasting with great flavor. Great atmosphere and excellent service! Highly recommended!
