First time in "La Pharmacie Anglaise" but I have to say that I really enjoyed it. In summer there is a nice terrace outside. The staff is very polite and friendly. It is a little bit expensive, but I suppose it is because they propose specific drinks with branded alcohol (and the taste is indeed different). I recommend it. Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Chips Serano

As other reviewers have posted: a lot of arrogance, high prices and low quality. I have stayed at some of the best hotels and bars in the world and I was never treated like they behave at this place. A few years ago this was a nice bar. I went back yesterday: all different staff, would-be mixologists without any decent experience & with their heads in the sky. However, a complete lack of knowledge about decent restaurants and bars that are at their supposed level; even about the Brussels culinary scene they cannot offer any advice. I paid EUR 125 for 5 "champagne cocktails" (i.e. only a few drops of basic veuve clicquot, as other reviewers have said almost none; a lot of arrogance was complimentary). I was sitting at the bar counter, yet most of the staff did not even bother talking to me. They were too busy with a girlfriend of one of the waiters who was sitting there too. Warning: as others have said, do not go to this place, unless you like to pay a lot for low quality, unless you love arrogance and a lack of education at all levels (cocktails, culinary and basic civilisation).
