Lovely! Thank you for a wonderful dinner. Dinner is at 8 we were thirsty pilgrims and they had at sit outside with a drink and small bites. The sangria on tap (Sureo) is incredibly refreshing. For dinner we said we wanted a pollo, ensalta y papa frites based on the reviews we read. It was simple and absolutely delicious!!!! The perfect meal for our Camino. Highly recommend! Dinner is served from 8pm, so I started with a beer and it arrived with snacks and olives on the side. I have never tasted olives quite like these. Fresh, firm, and pleasantly mild, they were less sour than the usual imported or buffet varieties, with a natural crunch that made them quietly memorable. Sitting al fresco, facing the setting sun, with the gentle sound of waves lapping nearby, it was deeply relaxing, almost meditative. I dined here on two evenings. On the first, after browsing the menu, I asked if it was possible to mix a few items. Carmen graciously agreed, and what arrived was a delightful combination of squid, sardines, and ham, simple, generous, and full of flavour. On the second evening, I kept it simple with squid again, paired with beer. I ended the meal with two servings of dessert and coffee; a fitting close to a satisfying experience. This visit rounded off my time in Cesantes beautifully. What made it truly memorable was not just the food, but the warmth and hospitality of Carmen and Luciano.
