Ristorante Pizzeria La Sagrestia exceeded our expectations by a mile. Located just a few steps from the Parthenon. We enjoyed every minute. Rafa was our waiter and he took excellent care of us. Funny, helpful, very attentive. We came for the pizza but stumbled on EXCELLENT Caesar and Pompidoro salads. Bon Apetito! The pizza was wonderful. Simple ingredients, wanderful crisp thin crust. Loved every bite! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Veggie pizza

This was the absolute worst dining experience! First off, the waiter was very bold. He brought over 6 bottles of wine when we sat down and asked us to pick one. We asked to try their house wine since a tour guide suggested we try it stating many restaurants offer an excellent house wine. Our waiter was not impressed with our choice. Everything quickly went downhill after that. Our arrogant waiter brought over 4 dirty & dusty wine glasses with the price tags still stuck to the bottom. There were 4 of us and we each put our finger in the wine glass and drew a line from the dust. When we pointed this out & the price tag on the bottom of the glasses, he just laughed and poured the wine into the dirty dusty glasses, dripping it all over the table. Needless to say, we did not touch the wine. Our dinner arrived and it was awful. We had been to this restaurant 8 years prior and it was so delicious, we couldn't wait to go back. When our bill came and I disputed the wine charge, a man came over and identified himself as the owner. He rudely asked if we were Americans and told us his grandfather would pay for our wine. I believe it doesn't matter where you come from, and if you are treated so rudely, you should speak up. I do not need his grandfather to pay for our wine. Needless to say, our once treasured memory of this restaurant will be forever tarnished. I'm sure they don't care. The shame is on them.
