Once the promenade around the Castello Ruffo di Scilla is over, visit La Sciabica. Italian and Mediterranean dishes are to be tried here. This restaurant may please you with nicely cooked fish and tasty antipasto. Take your chance to taste good wine.

Totally unadvisable. Lousy, bad quality of raw material and of the cook's work. Never, in any of my trips in countries with sea, or without it, I have never eaten such bad seafood. Tiny shrimps (never seen before!), a few squid rings, and one or two small pieces of octopus ends (€16,00). All this fried in rancid oil, accompanied by a slice of lemon (dry!). The mixed salad (€5,00) and some fries (€4,00), equally poor in quality and taste. The salad dressing was non-existent. The bottle of olive oil provided was old, looking as if it had been refilled multiple times in recent years. The bread, which only arrived after a specific request, was dry, was dry. At the time of payment, a 3.00 euro cover charge per person was made, which was not specified in the menu. The justification was the terrace overlooking the sea (the only positive aspect of the restaurant). To sum up, 52 euros voted in the garbage. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €50–60

La Sciabica has an amazing restaurant. The menu changes every day according to the fishermen's catch, it concentrates on local dishes. Everything we ate was delicious.
