Nestled in the hills above Positano, La Tagliata is a charming establishment serving up traditional home-cooked Italian cuisine. With a rustic ambiance and stunning panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast, this fine dining spot is perfect for a romantic evening or a special occasion. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with wooden tables and chairs adding to the warm and cozy atmosphere.

La Tagliata offers a set menu that includes a variety of dishes such as antipasti misti, homemade pasta dishes like gnocchi and lasagna, and a selection of grilled meats. Vegetarian options are also available. The fixed price is 40-50 euros per person, which includes unlimited wine.

Special features include a complimentary shuttle service to and from the restaurant, making it easy to reach this hidden gem. Outdoor seating is available on the terrace, where guests can enjoy breathtaking views while sipping on a glass of local wine.

Some standout dishes include the Genovese pasta, eggplant, and a tris of meats. For drinks, they offer a house red and white wine, as well as a selection of soft drinks and cocktails.

Overall, La Tagliata is a must-visit establishment for anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with stunning views and warm hospitality.

This is a restaurant that was highly recommended for us during our stay. Such celebrities have been here as J-lo. The conveient thing is they pick you up from your hotel. After a ride up the mountain, you are told to walk down the dark stairs to the restaurant. Once you arrive, you can see the lights in the coast line with a breathtaking view. However, it's dark, so all you can see are the lights of the town and the water. You are met with the owners son, who tells you the set menu and asked white or red wine. Knowing this was fine dining, we were excited to taste what they gave us for red wine. The wine was very fruit forward, not the usual we have been drinking. That is totally an opinion, and others may have enjoyed it. As the meal started it seemed very rushed and very one note. I am sure as the menu changes there could be better meals here. Next time we won't be back to this one. Service: 3

IMHO...The best quality food of our 10 days on IT trip. Farm to Table. The other reviews are accurate. We hiked the Path of the gods and had lunch here. 80E for two with a bottle of wine. This is Italian comfort food at its best - not a Michelin star type restaurant. Service: 5

This is my first 5 star review ever and there’s just no way around it, we had the best experience at La Tagliata of our whole trip in Italy. The traditional Italian food was sublime! We got a chance to taste the best Italian dishes straight from the garden of the family of La Tagliata. The service was impeccable and they even have their own wine that tasted great! The view, the story of the family, the gardens, the food and the service It’s THE restaurant you have to go to in Italy! Yes, there’s no à la carte menu so you have to eat what the family cooks but isn’t that amazing? It feels as if you are part of the family for a short moment. I saw a review here that really bashed the restaurant for serving vegetables like beans, peas and spinach They serve traditional Italian food?! If you don’t want to eat that, go to McDonalds. If you like food, amazing views and a great time Get over here!
