If you like Caribbean and Cuban cuisines, then this cafe is worth visiting. You will enjoy its food, particularly perfectly cooked black bean soup, pork roast and arroz con pollo. People can order good tostones, leche flans and tres leches cakes at La teresita. It might be cool to try delicious Mojitos, Sangria or mexican beer. Drink the great white coffee, juice or americano served here.
You can listen to live music in the evening. Many guests point out that the waitstaff is pleasant at this place. Prices here are reported to be democratic. At this spot, visitors can enjoy the homey atmosphere and fancy decor.

It's ridiculously crowded in the parking lot and even more inside. It's a bar stool type seating and you're literally shoulder to shoulder with strangers. We should have left but heard good things and were starving. I couldn't enjoy my meal it was so crowded but anyway we got a Cuban that lacked flavor and was dry. The pot roast was good the rice and beans were mediocre, the yuca was very good. I'm not sure how it was so busy with how mediocre things were but I'm glad they're doing well it's just a no return for me.

First time visitor and they were able to accommodate my party of 10 fairly quickly. I ordered the Cuban sandwich which came out perfectly pressed. I wouldn't consider it your traditional Cuban since it came with LTO. But it was still delicious. Others in my party ordered the grilled steak and I didn't hear any complaints. I do wish they had a Cuban with black beans and rice special. Instead you have to order the black beans, yellow rice ala carte. I believe each dish was $3.95. To be fair though, you could split both with someone else. The portions were pretty large. Service was good, our servers first language was Spanish so there was a big of a language barrier but he worked through it and remained professional.

La Teresita is nothing if not one thing: consistent. Their food, their drinks, their coffee - it's all dang good, and it's always dang good. I've never had a bad meal from here. Combine that with their excellent wait staff, the massive space, and the live music that they often have playing - and it's easily one of my fave restaurants here in Tampa. I highly recommend checking this out - they accommodate large and small parties easily, so bring the fam!
