The view is absolutely incredible and, honestly, it’s the main reason I would recommend eating at La Terrazza. Unfortunately, almost everything else about the experience was underwhelming, especially given the extremely high price. The food was good, but that’s about as far as I would go. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly memorable or special either. At this price point and for a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected to be blown away, and we simply weren’t. We had much better food elsewhere in Italy for a fraction of the price. The atmosphere also didn’t work for us. It was extremely formal and stuffy to the point that it made the meal less enjoyable. We have no problem with formal dining—in the right setting it can make a meal feel even more special—but here it just contributed to a strange, uncomfortable vibe. That said, the view over Rome really is spectacular and absolutely lives up to the hype. I’m glad we experienced it once for that reason alone. Go for the view, but I wouldn’t go expecting the food or overall experience to justify the price. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Food average somegood she said. But owners not Italian anymore and run from Brunei so unsure if all Italian brigade de cuisine?
