LaFerla, a charming Italian restaurant tucked away in the heart of Girona's old city, offers an exceptional culinary experience. The warm and cozy ambiance, combined with the friendly and attentive service, makes it a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a casual lunch. The interior design is simple yet elegant, with wooden tables and chairs, soft lighting, and tasteful decor. The price range is reasonable, with a three-course menu for around €20 per person.
LaFerla's menu features a fusion of French and Italian cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients. The handmade pasta dishes are a must-try, such as the burrata with truffle and the tomato pasta. The seafood cassolette and the pork loin are also highly recommended. For dessert, the grandmothers' tiramisu and the panna cotta are both delicious options.
The wine list is carefully curated, with a selection of local and Italian wines that pair perfectly with the food. The Sicilian white wine is a standout choice. For cocktails, try the Aperol Spritz or the Negroni. Soft drinks include homemade lemonade and iced tea.
LaFerla also offers outdoor seating on a charming terrace with views of the cathedral. The establishment is run by two brothers who take pride in their food and hospitality. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality make LaFerla a fine dining spot that should not be missed.
We were looking for a nice restaurant that wasn't touristy nor too expensive and found the perfect place with LaFerla. The menu is 30 euro and provides a nice three-course selection of Spanish takes on Italian food, including interesting options like pork cheeks (try them). Wine and other beverages were priced very fairly. Service, provided by the owner, was authentic and friendly. The place is comfortable and warm, but not fancy. Some guests were dressed for a night out, while blue jeans. We definitely look forward to returning soon. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
