Having seen Downtown West Palm Beach, it's time to have a rest at this bar. Many guests come here to enjoy good prawns, pasta and crabs. After a long working week, you can taste delicious beer.

The intimate atmosphere of Lafayette's allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. The staff is friendly that's what makes this place so nice. Terrific service is something that people highlight in their comments. Most reviewers mark that prices are adequate for what you get.

We brought a friend for her bday.  Unfortunately,we're going to have to take her out again.  Because the food was Horrible and the was terrible service, in addition the waitress was completely clueless.  If this is a replacement of BB Kings, we got punkd.  This place is a joke.

3 stars for the 30 minutes we waited for our food to drop. Especially on a very slow a like Sunday where the place was empty minus us and two other parties. We sat down at 6:10 ordered 4 waters took them till 6:19 to drop some water down. We waited till 6:39 to order food! 20 min Just to put our order in! Finally we put our order in, I ordered the Caesar salad as a starter, and the classic burger with added avocado, bacon and sautéed onions and a side of Mac and cheese instead of fries. My salad didn't come out till 6:51 and our entrees didn't come out till 7:08, 30 minutes waiting for our food. Mind you while all this was happening our server was no where to be found.

My wife and I went to Lafayette's today for a Sunday brunch (July 4th weekend) to try this New Orleans styled restaurant out.  Checked out the menu on their website and thought this may not be bad place to try, since it's right next to Movico in City Place.  Tried to call several times before we left and only got an answering service (call was made during their advertised opening at 11:30AM).  Wasn't sure if they were still in business. When we arrived we noticed that the place was empty.  This was 1PM.  We thought they were closed until a young lady came running over to ask if we wanted to be seated (the hostess I reckon....)  After we were seated, no one showed up.  Told my wife I will head over to Movico and purchase the tickets for the show we wanted to see.  Remember now, that it's 93 degrees in this open dining area they sat us at, so a drink would have been a good start for our Sunday brunch.  The wife ordered the shrimp and grits and I ordered the salmon benedict.  Food was delivered in 20 minutes or so (but for an empty restaurant of only 3 tables) I would have expected better service from the kitchen staff.  When we received our food I can only say that it was just fair.  Everybody does salmon benedict and this dish was just OK.  I was thinking that a New Orleans style restaurant has to have some really good kick to this dish, but it was just OK.  Wife said her shrimp and grits did not have the flavor of other places that do same dish.  She said that Howley's has the best, if you want really good Shrimp and Grits.  They know how to prepare it with a kick and they do it for less.   When I got the bill I was completely taken back.  The price for my dish was $3.00 higher on the bill then what was advertised on the menu.  Menu price $19.00, as well as the online pricing but the receipt price was $22.00.  Since I was using a Restaurant.com coupon, I didn't  bother to bring it to the attention of my server, but it tells me that management is not on their game.  And since I will not be coming back, it wouldn't have made a difference anyway.
