Last week I took my best friend there for lunch.we know each other now already 45 years and she was the first Dutch lady I met after arrivinv here from the Netherlands in 1981. I live SOR and she lives in Carine but I know Lakeview Cafe is good, went there a lot with my youngest daughter. Combination shopping for presents-plants and luch works well. Their lunches are so good. We both took top of the range pepper Squid rings and it was a big serve and so delicious (expensive but worse it and I paid) we have to go back soon. We had a nice table overlooking the garden centre and very nice, it has been updated because everything looks new. And so many long tables full with so many plants and it was tidy and clean. Between the tables of the restaurant were gas heaters. That was nice because it was a cold day. We have to go back again soon. It was nice and relaxing to look at all these nice and very organised garden centre! It’s so funny the way we met here in our first month! Somebody knocked on the door, my son ran to the door - I was in the kitchen and could hear them. My son, called to the kitchen: mam, there is a lady here met van die make-up troep! - Dutch! Translated: with these make up rubbish! I heard her laughing: oh how nice you are Dutch! I ran to the door and said laughing: come in, I make you coffee! Still my best friend after 45 years! Still have fun about it every now and then! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $60–80 Vegetarian options: Yes Dietary restrictions: Not sure because I’m not!
