We had lunch here every single day for a week — and we would do it again without hesitation. Laki’s Beach Bar sits right by the beach in Platanias and became our daily destination. Not because we had to, but because we genuinely wanted to. The food is simple, fresh and consistently excellent. The prices are among the best we encountered anywhere on Crete. And the service is warm, relaxed and delivered with a willingness to go the extra mile that is impossible to fake. Two large gyros pita with large cold beers: 25 EUR. A large grill platter with Greek salad and large cold beers: 32 EUR. For food of this quality in these surroundings, that is simply unbeatable. What impressed us most beyond the food itself was the service. The staff are always smiling, always present and always solution-oriented. If something was not on the menu — they found a way to make it happen anyway. That kind of hospitality cannot be trained. It comes from within. For anyone staying in Platanias looking for great food, honest prices and an atmosphere that makes you completely unwind — this is the place. Highly and warmly recommended. Made a 200km round trip to visit Lakis beach bar. First visit in 6 years. Food was as good as ever, lovely staff and great atmosphere. See you again, a bit sooner I hope! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best Place in Kreta. Sit down, Relax, take it easy!!! It´s soooo nice. Lakis and Arisand Family are soooo lovley.
We come back! ( ********** stars from me :-) )
