This is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, and I highly recommend it! I want to give a special thank you to Ruth at the reception and Mahlet, our waitress. They were absolutely amazing and provided excellent customer service. The environment is clean, and the staff's professional attire adds a great touch. It is a very charming and welcoming place, and I will definitely be recommending it to my friends! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hello, I am writing to report a very disappointing experience I had at your restaurant. 5/17/2026 11:34am I called to place a pickup order, but the employee who answered the phone refused to take my order and told me I had to come inside to order and pay in person. I explained that I had placed the exact same order by phone the previous day without any issue, but she still refused. Because I was hungry, I came into the restaurant and placed the order in person. After paying, I noticed my meal included a spicy sauce that I specifically said I do not eat. I also learned that one of the sides I ordered and paid for was unavailable. When I asked for the correct sauce with my meal, the employee attempted to charge me extra even though the incorrect sauce was added by mistake. When I explained that I do not use spicy sauce, the employee became rude and began calling me names, including “spoiled girl.” I have never experienced this level of disrespect while ordering food. I felt embarrassed, disrespected, and treated unfairly as a paying customer. I felted very Threaten by her actions . She need proper training and customer service skills. This can cause very serious Charges. I hope this situation is addressed seriously so other customers are not treated this way in the future. Sincerely, Hilina Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

My friends and I were on our yearly getaway in Washington, DC, the weekend of May 1st. When we were looking for an authentic Ethiopian restaurant, Langano Ethiopian Restaurant in Silver Spring, MD, made it to the top of our list. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and seated in the best available area. We were awed by how large the restaurant was. The waitress assigned to serve us had a welcoming smile and was very knowledgeable, answering all our questions satisfactorily. The food we ordered came shortly after we placed our order, and the taste was absolutely delicious. Our dining experience at Langano was exceptional, and the restaurant is now at the top of our list of places to visit the next time we are in DC. In addition to the food, we found the restaurant team—starting with the owner and including our young waitress—to be consummate professionals with excellent customer service skills.
