Late nite bites were pretty good! Pizza was hot, fresh and full of flavor. I would have preferred a little more zesty sauce, but that may just have been solved with pepper flakes. The pot pie in the other ha d was spectacular. Flaky crust and flavorful filling! Well done BoysTown. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

I am one of Lark's biggest fans. The brunch is good and actually how I found out about Lark, but the best thing at Lark is Thursday Bingo. We've been coming back month after month and Vivian always surprises us with an incredible performance and just as incredible outfit. Vivian is SO captivating and truly the reason I come every Thursday. Her commentary on the gag gift prizes is truly the funniest thing ever. I'm only taking off a star since they've changed the prizes to coupons for food items we can't eat due to being vegan. It has honestly really taken away the fun part of bingo, the anticipation of maybe winning (even though we rarely do anyway). It was way more fun when we weren't winning the gag prizes than when we do win coupons for food we can't eat. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hi Madison, Thank you so much for being such a loyal Lark fan! We love hearing that Thursday Bingo has become something you look forward to and we’ll definitely pass along your amazing compliments to Vivian. She is truly the best and make Bingo the fabulous evening that it is every week! We just want to clarify that some of our prizes include 10% off of your total bill for brunch or dinner and both menus include vegan items. Your server can help explain those items on the menu next time you are in. Hope that helps! Thanks for continuing to spend your Thursdays with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

This past weekend, my fiancé, two friends, and I visited Lark Restaurant & Bar. Upon arrival, we walked through, had our IDs checked, and proceeded to the bar rail. While I was placing a drink order for the four of us, my fiancé and one friend stepped away to use the restroom. Shockingly, the General Manager, Ralph, followed them and stated that the restrooms were for customers only. They explained that we were, in fact, customers and that drinks were being ordered. Ralph then proceeded to ask them where their drinks were, an unnecessary and inappropriate line of questioning that, in this case, was rooted in racial profiling and discrimination. As the only white person in our group, it was obvious to me that my Black fiancé and friends were singled out solely based on appearance. They returned visibly uncomfortable to share what had happened. I immediately addressed this with the bartender, who informed Ralph to stop. Ralph responded by rolling his eyes and giving a dismissive head roll, a completely unprofessional reaction. After finishing our drinks, I waited to speak directly with Ralph, but he was nowhere to be found. This type of treatment is unacceptable in any business, but especially in the hospitality industry, where customer service should be the top priority. No one should be harassed, questioned, or judged based on the color of their skin. Treat all patrons with dignity, respect, and professionalism from the moment they walk in the door. We will not return to this establishment and strongly urge management to address this behavior immediately. Service: 1

Hi John,There is absolutely no racial profiling at Lark, ever. We're a diverse staff and our patrons come from all walks of life. This interaction was solely about prioritizing our restrooms for paying customers during the Market Days street festival, which is one of the largest street fests in Chicago. We requested this of thousands of other patrons throughout the weekend hanging out and using the facilities. We're deeply sorry your group was made to feel not welcome, but please understand what the reality of the situation was. Lark welcomes everyone and always has.
