My wife and I have visited Trinidad several times and I've often seen the packed parking lot at Larrupin' Cafe. On her last visit we made reservations and decided to try it out. It was a bit cold out so we dined on the first floor. We both ordered the ribeye steak with prawns. We were a bit disappointed, I believe the steaks were excessively fatty but also had several veins of gristle in them. Not what you would expect for a prime cut at the price they were offering it for. Otherwise our experience was fine, we had a nice table by the window and a lovely view of the garden. We have been coming here for 15 years, we were married out back in the garden area. It's always been a great experience. We were just there aug 2 and were surprised at the significant increase in price since the last time were were there last year, almost $20 a plate more. $40 for a tofu kabob plate is a bit much. This increase pretty much out the larrupin out of our comfortable range unfortunately
