If you have not had lunch here you are missing a diamond in the rough, food is fantastic, reasonable. The people that work here treat you like family the minute you walk in. I enjoy going to hole in the wall restaurants. They are often hidden gems, being not crowded and can have some killer grub. I've been to Las Delicias 3 times now and I don't think I'll go back. It's in the back of a pretty cool Mexican grocery store and there is usually just one person working. The chips are flavorful but the salsa is sweet and they don't have any legit hot sauce to negate it. I got a small cheese dip which came out lukewarm, it needed to be zapped just so I could dip chips into it. I wanted the shrimp burrito but they were out so I got the fried pork burrito. The pork wasn't fried, it was grilled and it's just meat, rice and beans in the roll. Simple but not very exciting. Also, the "plates" they have are these little plastic baskets with paper underneath. The paper gets wet and tears as you add salsa and cut your good, and if you get rid of the paper, food falls out of the basket holes! Just use a plate! For a beer, cheese dip, and burrito it was 12 bucks so if you're on a budget, it is not expensive. Still, I'd like to pay a couple bucks more for a meal I'll enjoy.
