Went there on a Friday evening and loved it. It’s a restaurant but also part Italian deli. The food was authentic but also quite refined. My carbonara wasn’t a massive bowl of spaghetti but instead a delightfully constructed line of pasta on a plate. It was a resounding success in my mouth. The pancetta or whatever meat they used was sensational. No expense spared. Great quality. The feedback on the other dishes was positive. I like the ambience (they allow well behaved dogs it seems) and the place gave me really good vibes. I would definitely go again. Service was great too. It’s a gem of a place Kid-friendliness: Fine for kids. My 12 was with me Wheelchair accessibility: Fine to eat but the toilet is down some narrowish stairs which would prove tricky. Really disappointing, first visit after living close by for many years, was hoping to find a lovely local restaurant on the doorstep that could become a regular but sadly not after last night. The starters arrived, my partners order was wrong, both were taken back to the kitchen, mine being kept warm while we had to wait for the ordered starter to be cooked. On receiving the mains again my partner got completely the wrong dish, with both being returned to the kitchen, mine being kept warm again while while we waited for the ordered main to be prepared. The main ordered was the pasta with king prawns, squid, mussels and clams, not a king prawn in sight ! 3 small clams, a few mussels and pieces of squid. Very disappointed for the price. As my partners whole order had now been wrong a complimentary drink would of been nice, but nothing was offered, the service charge was still added to the bill, which given how the evening had gone should of been excluded esp as no complimentary drink, dessert or even coffee offered by this point to go some way to make up for the errors that had been made by the manager himself as he was the one who took our order and served us the wrong meals. Unfortunately this was our first and last trip to L’assaggino Kingston. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40

I remember your table and we did forgot and mix your order I can only apologised again, we are new to the area and we were a bit overwhelmed and busy that night. We are really hoping you give us another chance at Kingston or visit our branch at Richmond, we are opened there since 2017 and we are famous for our delicious and authentic Italian pasta dishes with a Sardinian twist.
