Overpriced and uninspired food. This restaurant is one that on the surface looks promising but is uninspired and over priced.

Decided to head up the coast, grab a bite to eat. We were greeted by staff upon entering. Friendly hostess and waitress. I ordered the fish tacos with a side of sweet potatoes, instead of the rice/beans. Delicious! It really was. The sweet potatoes are thick slices, drizzled with oil, make just right. The two tacos were tasty and filled generously. I also had the purple haze cocktail, it was tasty, just not as strong as I'm use to. I'd recommend this place to any looking for a nice quick bite near the water.

My husband and I brought my mother to latitude 43 today 7/28/18. We had spent the day in RockPort and wanted to explore restaurants around and latitude seemed to have decent enough reviews. We order the Asian style calamari for an appetizer. We also ordered the fish stew, fisherman platter, and fish tacos for our entrees. Let me just say that we left the restaurant with our plates almost untouched. Honestly the food was horrible. Attached are pictures of our plates when we left. -The Asian style Calamari was servers as one lump. The batter was very doughy in the middle. I've never been served calamari like this. It was horrible. The waiter was kind enough to notice the issue and not charge us for it. -My husband was so excited for the fish stew but was soon disappointed when the broth was full of sand. He literally pulled all the muscles out of the broth and tossed them. They were disgustingly full of sand. -The fish tacos were horrific. They honestly shouldn't be served to people. The fish (haddock)was not fresh at all the neither my mother or I were able to eat past the first bite. - The fisherman platter was so-so. We only ate the shrimp. The haddock was fishy again and we couldn't eat it. Our experience overall was very disappointing. We've ate out at a lot restaurants and the food is at least edible if not excellent. I'm not usually the type of person to review restaurants. Reality is, your not always going to like every single dish served. However, when everything your served is bad, something must definitely wrong. I'd like to note that the server was great and the noted issues were not his fault as he's obviously just serving what's being cooked in the kitchen.
