Horrible place. If they see you and don't like how you look, they will close the door in your face. Service: 1

We had a marvelous time dining at L'auberge Des Deux Ponts. It is a one man operation and if busy I could understand the perception of slow service. We made reservations in the morning. I knew there was nothing on the menu for my vegetarian wife and asked in my very limited French if it was possible to prepare a salad for her. He said yes and asked about fish, eggs and cheese. When we arrived that evening he gladly served her a beautifully prepared salad. My duck confit with pan roasted potatoes and mayonnaise was simple and perfect . I enjoyed the creme brulee presentation but it does raise a big cloud of burnt sugar smoke. I suppose that was the way to do it before the advent of propane torches and it did turn out wonderfully. Overall we had a well prepared delicious meal in a charming spot prepared and served by a chef who seemed to truly enjoy and appreciate our being there. Absolutely go by or call and make reservations and expect to be there for 2 hours or more for dinner as it should be.
