I had Lawry's before in Las Vegas and Singapore and for our final night in Tokyo we decided to have our dinner at Lawry's and the Ebisu branch did not disappoint. Great service. The servers explained everything about the menu and all the options. And as always the quality of the prime rib is outstanding and we also had desert for our sweet ending. I highly recommend Lawry's Prime Rib for special occasions or just want a nice dinner. Highly recommended. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

On the last night of our Tokyo trip, my wife and I had one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. This is not a food review. This is a thank-you letter to the staff at Lawry’s Prime Rib Ebisu Garden Palace Tower. On our last day in Tokyo, we spent the day exploring the Ebisu area. We visited the Yebisu Beer Museum and wandered around Ebisu Garden Place. By mid-afternoon we noticed a couple of reputable steakhouses nearby and thought it would be a great way to end our Tokyo trip—with a proper steak dinner. Around 3pm we stopped by one of them to make a reservation and were rather rudely and bluntly turned away because they were fully booked. After that, I hesitated to even try Lawry’s. It’s a well-known establishment, and there I was in sweatpants and sneakers after walking around all day like a typical tourist. My wife and I had dressed for comfort knowing we would be on our feet all day. We told ourselves that if we somehow managed to get a table, we would go back to the hotel and change into something nicer. When we walked into Lawry’s, we were warmly greeted by the receptionist. We asked if it was possible to book a table for two at 7pm. To our surprise, she said yes. She briefly spoke with the manager, who came out with a welcoming smile and reassured us that a table would be available. When I asked if there was a dress code, he kindly told us there wasn’t. As we looked toward the bar, we noticed a sign advertising 50% off drinks during happy hour from 5–7pm, which immediately caught our attention. Our hotel was about three train stops away, and going back just to change and return would have meant wasting a couple of hours. Since there was no dress code, we decided to stay in the area, enjoy the afternoon, and come back as we were. We returned around 5:30pm for happy hour and dinner, and what followed turned into the most memorable meal we had in Tokyo. My wife ordered the California Cut while I had the larger Lawry’s Cut. The prime rib was exactly what you’d hope for—moist, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. We also had the famous tableside salad, fries, and the Yorkshire pudding that comes with the prime rib. Everything was excellent. But I’ll be honest: by the time dinner was fully underway, I didn’t have quite the appetite I expected. I had probably enjoyed more than my fair share of red wine and martinis. More importantly, my wife and I were simply having such a wonderful time that the food became secondary. And that’s not to diminish how good the meal was. The prime rib was fantastic. But the service and hospitality were so exceptional that they became the true highlight of the evening. From the receptionist to the bar staff to the dining room team, everyone treated us with incredible warmth. We had walked in feeling slightly awkward about being underdressed, but the entire team made us feel completely welcome from the very beginning. The highlight of the night was our conversations with Parviz, the bartender. Sometimes you meet interesting people in the most unexpected places. Parviz was kind, genuine, and fascinating to talk to. At one point he mentioned he holds a black belt in Judo. Here I was chatting with a black-belt judoka while he casually made one of the best martinis I had in Tokyo—it honestly blew my mind. He shared stories about his life and background, and my wife and I were grateful that he took the time to talk with us. The stories felt authentic and personal, and it made the evening even more memorable. The hospitality from the entire team—Parviz, Hamid, Ryosuke, and Shimo—was truly world class. Every one of them made us feel comfortable and welcome. This wasn’t just a great meal. It was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. We walked in as tourists ending a trip, and we walked out feeling like we had made new friends. It was the perfect ending to our time in Tokyo. I visited a store that I had always admired. Please wait in the waiting room before being escorted into the store. This room has great lighting and atmosphere. It felt special. What I received ・Appetizer: Horse meat tartare ・Salad: Original spinning bowl salad ・Hot dish: Lobster cake ・Main plate: Prime rib Tokyo cut (120g) ・Celebration plate ・Dessert: White Opera (with coffee or tea) The salad and main rib will be finished in front of your table. You can have it freshly made. There are also salad performances and chefs who will cut the salad right in front of you. I'm kind of happy. I thought the prime rib looked like it would be easy to eat. At 120g, I felt pretty full! Many people use it for celebrations, I could hear celebratory plate and song services everywhere. The plates were brightly colored and very beautiful, and the fruits and sweets were all delicious! *You can hear congratulatory voices every 10 minutes in the large store, so it might not be suitable for a surprise.•••LOL Lunch is buffet style and seems to be a good deal.
