Friendly chef and overall trying to please. It was cold and rainy that day we visited and I felt that the restaurant was not equipped to deal with the cold weather. So a bit uncomfortable. The chef was working full speed to deal with approximately 20 people arriving at the same time. So, things e.g a cheese plate took the same time as a more complex dish. I got the impression that the place was more of a occasional restaurant, like a pop-up but definitely not something organized to create a cozy atmosphere and dining experience. After a 605 KM drive from Calais on way to French Alps, Nuit St. George, is a perfect place to break for the night.Looking for food at 9.30pm between Christmas and New Year was difficult until we stumbled on Le Beffroi which serves food until late.We had the most amazing welcome, delicious burger and house Rose with a very friendly welcome from all the locals. Recommend to everyone.
