The best food experience I've had! Definitely it's worth every cent! It's a unique experience that I will remember forever. All the food delicious and I let them choose the wine for me. Each meal a perfect glass of wine to it.
Friendly staff, lovely setting/decor, great food (we had the 4 course sampling menu - the lasagne is sublime) generally worth the prices too, and sommelier helps find the perfect wine. It was my girlfriend’s birthday which I advised in advance and they gave us a corner table, a single rose for her, and chocolates with a candle and sung happy birthday!
Bistrot de Venise was an unexpected surprise for me. I was wandering the small street of Venice when I came across this restaurant. Little did I know that it was a Michelin starred restaurant. The restaurant is quaint and the service was impeccable. They offer 2 tasting menus but I opted to build my own. I started with oysters to go with my Prosecco and it was followed by a house soup. Then I ordered the soft shelled crab which came with 4. It was nicely seasoned with a nice crunch. Next I ordered the eel. From what I was told, eel was a common Venetian dish back in the 1400’s or something. It was good....different but good. I opted not to get dessert but they did bring out some dessert pastry. Overall a great experience and a nice last dinner in Venice.
