If you feel hungry after visiting Musee de l'Eau et de la Fontaine, have a meal at this restaurant. Search through the Belgian menu. Degust nicely cooked fillet steaks, halibut and entrecote at Genval Les Bains. Many guests come here to enjoy good parfait, fruitcake and tarte tatin.

Restaurant to avoid!!! Friendly waiters but quite stressful. We barely have time to finish our aperitif when the starters arrive. The dishes follow one another without giving us a little respite. The dishes were disgusting. For dessert we asked for cheeses for 4 and then had dessert for some. Except that we receive the cheeses and desserts at the same time, not even a plate for the cheeses. The hotel for a romantic weekend is generally pleasant, largely thanks to the setting. The reception and lobby have been renovated and the bar is pleasant. The rooms are comfortable but the common areas (corridors, elevators, etc.) look like an Ibis that has not been renovated since 1999 (out-of-date purple carpet, smooth gray plaster walls, etc.). The Genval les Bains restaurant should be avoided on weekends. It does not offer an à la carte option on Saturday evenings. The dishes offered are prepared during the day and reheated in the microwave before serving (like in business on the plane / it's the same level). It's absolutely not gourmet. Breakfast is very basic. The clientele is resolutely Dutch or Anglo-Saxon, there is more ham, sausages and bacon than fruit, bread or pastries... it's a good 3 star but absolutely not a five star. By going to eat elsewhere, we generally have a good time (provided you choose a room with a view of the lake and ask to stay on the left side because on the right there is the parking lot)...
