Celebrated my master’s graduation with a dinner at Le Colvert in Sai Ying Pun — the perfect way to close this chapter Tucked away on a quiet street corner, this Michelin restaurant feels like a cozy Parisian bistro. Grab a window seat and you’ll see the iconic trams rolling by. The vibe is especially magical during blue hour. Every dish impressed, but the duck-focused menu is the real star — it’s the only place in Asia dedicated to French duck cuisine. The pan-seared foie gras with pear and toast, the fall-apart tender confit duck leg, the juicy duck fillet, and the duck-fat fries (yes, it’s as good as it sounds) — all incredible. The flaming dessert finale was pure drama and the perfect sweet ending. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $500+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food was hard to fault , the foie gras poêlé was delicious and so was the magret (although maybe a little bit too much sauce). The side dishes however were just ok. The haricots verts were overcooked and the frites not crispy enough, some were quite soggy. Service at the beginning was good and attentive but when the restaurant became busier, it became almost inexistant. Nobody refilled our wine glasses or asked if everything was ok. We never received the gratin that we ordered. Last, they charge you for water that seemed to be tap water. It would be ok but I felt it was very cheeky to not ask if we wanted water , they just filled the glasses in and then never told us it wasn’t complimentary. At least give people the choice. Dear Vang, We are very sorry to see some of the dishes were not up to standards and most particularly that the service was a let down on your side. The business of a restaurant should not be an excuse and we strive to always deliver the best service to everyone, hence, I would like to personally apologise for the lack of attention towards the middle and end of your meal. Regarding the water, we regret that our staff failed to communicate with you that all the water we use is not tap, but filtered water charged per person for 18 hkd. We would love to get in touch with you to make things right for your next visit. I invite you to contact us by phone or WhatsApp at 95486555. Best regards, Hubert Dubouix

Highly recommended Their service makes you feel thoughtfully cared for and instantly at ease. The menu is extensive and offers great variety. In addition to à la carte options, there are various set menus. As for the wine selection, they offer a strong range of classic French wines as well as excellent choices from around the world. Overall, the value for money is excellent. portions are generous Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $450–500 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
