We had our company Christmas party here and it was a great experience. I was one of the party organizers so I dealt with planning, supervising the execution of the plan and enjoying the event. Tiffany, our contact, was very available and provided us with lots of information. When I did the final review of our event order, she was quick to respond to my suggestions. The food was great! I received many compliments from party goers. We had different stations and all the hot food was kept hot and the cold food was cold. The staff made sure we got the refills we needed. The bar service was excellent! Who knew so many drank White Claw? It was just another part of our great evening. We had to wear masks if we were not actively eating or drinking per the Governors order,, but there was no mask police, it was pretty much regulated by the party goers. Check this spot out for an event. You will not be disappointed.
This is the sit down restaurant at Cantigny Park, separate from the fast casual Bertie's Bistro down the hall. According to the website it's also the event space, but I don't know what that may be like in the time of Covid. As it was, on a week day there were only two occupied tables at lunchtime. The menu is pretty spartan (due to covid limitations? Don't know) but two of us got the strawberry chicken salad and one got the chicken cheesesteak sandwich, all of which were good. We finished off with ice cream, which was tasty. Our waiter checked in as needed but largely let us be. There's a nice view of the gardens through huge windows to the east, so if you can score seats here so much the better. If you need a bathroom, be aware that it's a bit of a hike: past the bistro, into the visitor center, past the gift shop, and eventually you'll get there. Overall, if you're already at Cantigny this is a decent lunch spot.
