We booked this restaurant because we were visiting Paris and wanted somewhere with a really good tagine. We trusted the reviews and booked online. Our flight into Paris was delayed and we only got to our hotel after the reservation. I called the restaurant and in my best French explained we were running late. The man that I spoke to said no problem. We arrived at the restaurant half an hour late. Our table was waiting for us, which we felt really fortunate about because Le Marrakech is a small family restaurant and was full! There isn't much room and the tables are close together but this gave it a great atmosphere. The table next to us finished and left almost straight away so we were offered the table as it was away from the main entrance. We ordered a lamb tagine and a spicy sausage couscous. The food came quite quickly. There was lots of food with the couscous and the sausage was excellent. The tagine was delightful. We also had a house rose and it complemented the meal perfectly. The table next to us told the man running the restaurant that it was our birthday and he brought us some morrocan sweets with our mint tea. We got the bill and a fantastic meal plus a demi carafe of good wine for under €40 for both of us! Do not miss this restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, great manager, great value!
