A Disappointing Return We’d visited Le Moment previously and returned this time under its new ownership, bringing the children along for what we hoped would be an easy, relaxed family meal. To its credit, the setting does lend itself well to dining with younger kids - informal enough that you don’t feel under scrutiny. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. Service was notably poor from the outset. There was little sense of oversight or flow; we ordered just a single round of drinks simply because no one returned to the table - despite being seated within easy sight of the bar. It culminated rather absurdly in us settling the bill and leaving before our main plates had even been cleared - they were not empty plates. The food did little to recover matters. A low-quality steak and a lacklustre crayfish bisque pointed to a kitchen lacking both care and consistency. The children’s dishes - which should be the easiest to execute - were particularly mishandled: burgers arrived rare despite a clear request for medium, and the chicken was dry and unappealing. We skipped dessert entirely and instead salvaged the evening next door at Le Parisien - a telling decision. Add overpriced wine into the mix, and it becomes difficult to justify any return. Bon pas grand chose à dire. A la fois surprenant et désolant. Désolant car vous êtes déçus mais surprenant car sinon vous êtes devant le bar, vous pouvez faire signe pour commander. Les vins hors de prix? Un bourgogne haute à 35 euros ?? Surprenant vu les derniers avis. Mais bon si vous êtes déçus désolé
