Le Patio is a restaurant located in the old city of Essaouira in Morocco. With its dimly lit, candlelit atmosphere and traditional Moroccan live music, it is a great place to enjoy a romantic dinner or an evening out with friends. The menu consists of a variety of tagines and couscous dishes as well as fresh fish dishes, steak and lamb shoulder. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is of a high quality. The scallops in orange sauce, sweetbreads in cream sauce and John Dory with Pastis sauce are all particularly delicious. The wine list is also good, with a selection of Moroccan wines available. Le Patio is great value for money and definitely worth a visit.

You came to this restaurant each of our stays, we will not come back again. We thought that we would point out to the management at the end of the meal that the Saint Pierre flambé with anise served with rice if you pour a glass of anise on the cold fish it ended up in the rice which made the rice inedible . “it’s the principle of flambé fish” (sic) explains the owner. Here it is certainly preferable to say that everything was “perfect” probably in an agreed tone when that is not the case! When people take you for fools, you don't come back. The liquid can actually spill onto the plate! Nobody ever complained about it. You forgot to say in your comment that the dish in question was offered! During our visit to Essaouira, the restaurant Le Patio was recommended to us and we validate this place.
