We visited Le Pic a Bulot, one of three restaurants, located in the St-Enogat area, twice during our stay in Dinard. It’s a short (ten minute-ish) walk from the town centre and well worth it, with some impressive mansions to marvel at en-route. It’s a bustling restaurant, so worth booking in advance, which you can do via Google. Even when we didn’t, the team managed to fit us in – which was hugely appreciated! It is one of a number of seafood restaurants in Dinard, but the only one to also have an on-site fishmongers. As you can imagine, the produce is as fresh as it comes, delicious and reasonably priced, which also makes it worth the trip out of the town centre Alongside the traditional fruits de mer platters and moules, the menu also offers dishes inspired by global dishes using local ingredients. I enjoyed an excellent octopus ceviche and a fabulous tuna tartare. For less adventurous souls, notably our shellfish averse 10 year old, they also do a very good fish and chips. Hats off to the chefs Bretzec and Ratane for creating some of the best food we ate in Dinard, which is saying something given the town is a something of a gastronome’s paradise! Thanks also to the kind and helpful staff – and friendly clientele - who smiled through our dreadful Franglais. Merci a tous!

Friendly staffs, very helpful even though we don’t speak French. No English menu so we used Google translate. The shrimps and mussels were as expected. The octopus was not as fresh as anticipated and we did not like a sweet-tasting sauce with our seafood. The fries, however, were a disaster. It was hot but limp. I have never had worst fries. Fortunately we didn’t go in for the fries. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Enjoyed the seafood platter with spider crab and langoustines. The ‘grey’ shrimp on the plate were the sweetest I’ve ever tasted. Followed the platter with the fish and seafood on creamy sauerkraut. Wow, who would have thought this would work? The smoky, buttery mussels in the dish were outrageous. Service was super friendly (deep smiles) and attentive. You can see your seafood being prepared at the wet bar just inside the restaurant - beside the kitchen. I wish I lived in Dinart.. so much more of this place I’d like to enjoy.
