Disappointed by the poor service standards - once they realised we weren't having 4 meals but rather a couple of snacks and drinks for the 4 of us they lost interest. It was a quiet time - mid-afternoon - so it's not like we took up seats that others might have wanted. Most tables were vacant. We asked for a carafe of water - which most places in Paris are more than happy to serve - but we sensed that the waiter was not happy that we didn't want bottled mineral water. He brought us the carafe with miniscule shot glasses - when carafes on other tables went with proper water glasses. The club sandwich was in stale bread and fairly uninteresting and tasteless. Overpriced place to be avoided! Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

We stumbled upon Le Raspail while exploring Paris and it turned out to be exactly the Parisian experience we had been hoping to find. Located on a lively corner that felt busy but not overwhelming, it was the perfect spot to enjoy brunch and coffee on a sunny Saturday morning. We loved sitting outside watching locals stroll by with fresh baguettes under their arms, cyclists with baskets full of vegetables, and the everyday rhythm of Paris unfold around us. The avocado toast with smoked salmon was outstanding—honestly, the best smoked salmon I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. We also shared the club sandwich with a soft-boiled egg and French fries. As Canadians, we couldn’t help but laugh because the fries reminded us of Swiss Chalet fries back home—a true Canadian delicacy! Comforting, crispy, and perfectly done. A special thank you to Theo, who was warm, welcoming, and provided wonderful service throughout our visit. The restaurant also offers free Wi-Fi, which was a nice bonus.
