After extraordinary Brett Whiteley Studio Museum, have a meal at Le Souk Beirut. Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisines provide authentic food at this restaurant. The cooks here prepare decent falafels, charcoal chicken and fantastic salads. Nice wine is waiting for you at Le Souk Beirut.

Never tried Lebanese tapas before, and it was delicious. Excellent Fattoush, the zaatar fries are moreish and the falafels on par with Jasmin 1. We ate so much we didn't even get to the lamb shoulder but will definitely be back for that once we recover from our feast!

I went to le souk Beirut on a recommendation so thought it would be great. We walked in and were not greeted for a few minutes... at this point we should have probably left. The staff on the floor were nice but seemed to not know what they were doing. We finally got a table and were seated. 20 mins later we were given water and asked for our order. We were pretty hungry at this point..... roughly an hour later we finally received our food. We had arrived well before other tables around us and were last to get our food. Even though other tables ordered the same things... at no point in the meal were we told the food was coming .... we were STARVING by the time it arrived. The food itself was ok. Not terrible. Not great. Ok. We went to the counter to pay and when asked about our meal we mentioned how long it took to arrive. The lady at the counter apologised but no effort was made to correct it. We are pretty easy going diners and didn’t complain but overall we probably wouldn’t go back. As a tip to the owners and managers I would say you need to communicate more clearly with your customers. A small gesture of something to nibble on or even discounted bill for an hour and a half wait goes a long way towards retaining good will. Even just being told that your meal is coming but it will be a while longer helps enormously. I really wanted to like your restaurant but it was too poorly managed. Sorry.
