Very atypical restaurant, beautiful exterior appearance, nice interior, very smiling and friendly staff despite the crowds. Very good menus or daily specials. Fairly fast service and always with a smile which is rather rare these days. I highly recommend this restaurant not to be missed. Today I bring you my review of Le Vintage, a restaurant located in the charming city of Avignon. Get ready for a culinary journey with some ups and downs. The atmosphere at Le Vintage is really nice. There is a good vibe, ideal for enjoying a relaxed meal. The menu is quite complete, offering an interesting variety of dishes, and the best of all is that they have a menu at a fairly affordable price, which makes it accessible to almost any budget. We opted for the menu and, in general, the experience was good, although with some details that are worth mentioning. We started with the Salmon Tartare, which unfortunately was a slight disappointment. It arrived extremely cold, with overly large pieces of salmon and a texture and color reminiscent of frozen salmon. A pity. In contrast, the Goat Cheese with Beet Mousse was a real success. Delicious, with a soft texture and a very pleasant flavor. The beet mousse gave it a very interesting earthy touch that perfectly complemented the flavor of the cheese. To repeat! The Braised Pork was another standout dish. The meat was juicy and full of flavor, and the carrot Mouselina that accompanied it gave it a creamy touch and a sweet touch that combined perfectly. A comforting and delicious dish! However, the Bambas Risotto was a HUGE disappointment. More than a risotto, it looked like boiled rice with a little sauce on top, without the flavors integrating. Plus, I only had two shrimp. A real shame, since we had high expectations for this dish. Fortunately, the Fish we ordered afterwards was very good. The cooking was perfect and the Butter sauce, very balanced, enhanced the flavor of the fish without overpowering it. A well executed dish! The Steak Tartar was also a plus point. The meat was of good quality, well cut and properly marinated. However, there was too much Parmesan cheese powder, which was in too much quantity and took away from the flavor of the meat. For dessert, we ordered the Apricot Tarte Tatin, which was delicious. The acidity point was perfect and balanced the sweetness of the cake very well. A sweet and satisfying ending! As for the service, it was very friendly and attentive. They made an effort to provide us with good attention at all times, which is very appreciated. Despite the disappointment with the salmon tartare and the prawn risotto, I think Le Vintage is still a highly recommended option in Avignon, especially in terms of value for money. With some adjustments to certain dishes, it could be an exceptional restaurant. Dare to try it and draw your own conclusions!
