Le Carré, located in the heart of Moscow's Zamoskvorechye district, is a fine dining spot that specializes in French cuisine. The establishment boasts an intimate and cozy atmosphere, with tables spaced out to allow for private conversations. The interior design is classy yet whimsical, featuring unique touches such as twin statues of meerkats in neckties by the front door. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service, and there is a 15% discount on Sunday and Monday evenings after 5 pm.
The menu at Le Carré is curated by the French chef Eric Le Provo, who has been a pioneer of Moscow's French cuisine since 1992. The dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients, including Russian products, and are executed with precision and attention to detail. Some standout dishes include the perfectly prepared trout, the Tournedos Rossini, and the fantastic onion soup. For dessert, the floating island and the lemon meringue pie are highly recommended.
Le Carré also offers an impressive wine selection, with options to accommodate any taste. Cocktails and soft drinks are also available, and the staff are knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations. The establishment features a separate room for private events, and outdoor seating is available in the warmer months.
Overall, Le Carré is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic French cuisine in Moscow. The establishment's ambiance, interior design, and menu all contribute to a memorable dining experience.
I went there with confidence that this restaurant would top my rating, but how wrong I was. By dish: Fruit tea - 3/10. Remove it from the menu immediately. Some inexpensive fruit tea. Luckily it was on normal water. It's not tasty Duck confit - 7/10. Looks like a chicken from the oven from childhood for the New Year. Not juicy enough. They brought little pesto as a sauce. Very little. For such a portion there should be 6-7 times more sauce. In short, both with him and without him are the same. By the way, they didn’t serve me demi-glace with it, they said it goes with other dishes. Apple tart - 10/10. Amazing Pear tart 10/10 great. I really liked the interior, ambience and service. I'll probably come again for desserts. As for the kitchen, I would like more emotions for that kind of money Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
It was our first time and we were delighted! Everything is very decent - cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent cuisine! Traditional onion soup is a definite recommendation. Salad of crispy confit vegetables with shavings of sheep cheese - very juicy: the freshest herbs and vegetables. I liked the snails with garlic butter - also a definite recommendation. Everything is accompanied by excellent wine: the menu contains recommended wines next to each dish, which makes the choice easier) The desserts are delicious, but compared to the main menu they are not so interesting) The chef communicates with the guests, approaches the tables, asks for opinions about the dishes) An evening here is a definite trip to Paris) I'm sure I'll be back more than once! An amazing restaurant! I found it on my next-to-last night in Moscow and ended up changing my dinner plans for my last day so I could go back. The decor is classy, yet whimsical (as indicated by twin statues of meerkats(?) in neckties by the front door), the service is excellent, and the food is truly sublime. I wish I lived closer to Moscow so I could return to this restaurant frequently, and if I’m able to visit the city again, you can be sure that Le Carré will be a place to which I prioritize returning!
