Really lovely dinner at Leftfield We started with Scottish mussels and grilled octopus — both great. The octopus was spot on, not chewy at all. For mains we had the halibut for two and the sole. The halibut was cooked perfectly — it comes with potatoes, olives, cherry tomatoes and capers, all very nicely seasoned. Simple but really good. The sole in butter was delicious too, proper classic flavour. Basque cheesecake for dessert — yes - si si si !!! And the Sicilian wine Verónica recommended was excellent. The staff were genuinely lovely, friendly and relaxed. The place itself is cosy with beautiful big windows looking out to the park nice flower arrangements. Would definitely go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £60–70 Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to wheat & soy and they went out of their way to accommodate the dishes for me.

The staff was lovely. But the food was bland and uninspiring. Out of season tomatoes had no flavour, trout was under seasoned and over cooked. The chocolate mousse was not at all the airy and light dessert that the name suggests. To top it off, we were sat at the bar which is in a separate room with zero atmosphere and terrible lighting at dinner. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £60–70
