Legal Sea Foods owes me nothing! I always enjoy the food and experience when I'm in Atlanta. This visit was for a birthday dinner. And I was all too willing the RSVP yes. I took Uber to the LSF, but there is street parking and hotel garage nearby. If you opt for the hotel, there is valet--not sure if it is tips only or a specific charge. I'm also not sure if LSF comps the parking. I ordered calamari with peppers, which were fried to perfection. Next time, I may request rings only. Something about the octopus pieces freak me out. I mean octopus are super scary. Have you see that video of the octopus walking on rocks to get back to water? CREEEEPY. But, I digress. The flavor was great. A friend of mine order the spicy calamari, and it was delicious as well. I tried hard not to fill up on the complimentary bread, but it's hard not to indulge. They are always warm and fresh, and the staff keep them coming. For the entrée, I ordered the pecan crusted snapper with mashed sweet potato and braised greens. For my beverage I had the strawberry sangria. I'm not much of a drinker these days, but this sangria was super delicious, so I ordered 2. I raved about it so much, nearly everyone at the table had at least one by the end of dinner. I really enjoyed the snapper. The pecan crust gave it a subtle sweetness that complimented the snapper very well. The greens are delicious; however this time they were a little sweeter than I like, but not enough for me to send them back. I'd probably get regular mashed potatoes to off-set all the sweetness I had going on with my selections. Others ordered the catfish matrimony, which I also recommend and I hate catfish normally, but this is so good, and the grilled shrimp with cheese grits. I took a bite of those grits and they were as creamy as mashed potatoes. OMG!! Definitely made my list of "what to order next time." Overall, I'm always down to go to LSF. The staff is always nice, and handled the large group very well. Their recommendations are always on point.
