went in this place at 6:30pm on last Saturday , and only had one table of 3 were eating.  Ordered a 6 ppl seafood platter with a 3.5 lbs lobster for $229 on the menu. On the menu it said Seafood for 6ppl + 3.5lbs for $229, so I expected it would came with a 3.5lbs lobster, But rather it came with 2 small lobsters looks like 1.25lbs each! (As seen in pic) Want to order a side beef and mussels, owner said they're out stock, want to order a sea bass, also out of stock too, which still like 6:45pm. End up only order a 6 ppl seafood platter. Bill came at the end they automatically charge you 10% service charge. BTW from 6:30pm-9pm there're no more new comer to this place.....which was very uncommon for a Saturday dinner time....Probably that's why this place is empty. For sure won't recommend this place for anyone even you want to spend a good money for a nice dinner, spend your money somewhere else!

This is a place for lazy peeps who prefer to have their food cooked for them, unlike hot pot where you gotta do all the hard work ;) Came here for an early mother's day dinner and she really enjoyed this place. Food was fresh, service was decent and the staff were always very attentive. Step one. Choose a soup or congee base. And yes there's a cost to this. We picked the pumpkin and pork congee. This cooks while the steaming happens and with all the fresh seafood juice that fell into the congee, this was really delicious at the end of the meal. Step 2. We picked the seafood platter for 6. It comes with udon and veggies and was the perfect portions. The waitress who was serving us had a timer going, was always checking in on our food making sure it's not over cooked. This platter came with clams, fish, calamari, fish, and lobster. Very decent variety, quality, and overall the cost was good. Based on previous experience at other places, I don't think steaming meat is good. But to each their own. My parents liked it so much that they want to bring their friends asap. :)

Lei Yue Mun Steam Hot Pot is a somewhat specialized steam hot pot place that gives one the opportunity of using herbal soups as a base for an amazing night of hot pot.  We ordered the 7 people special and due to the size of our group, we were given 2 different tables.  By giving us 2 tables, we opted for a soup base which we went with a simple pork and tomato and potato soup as our base and a congee on the other end. One thing this restaurant specializes is that the staff actually prepares the hot pot dinner for you and before your eyes.  You will hear timers and bell chiming throughout the night as waiters and waitresses are running from table to table assisting customers with their food.  We had ordered the seafood steam pot menu which included oysters, shrimp, abalone, clams and one whole lobster.   There were also plenty of vegetables including mushrooms, greens, zucchinis and corn.  The staff cooked the meals in all preset times and would remove them off the platter when they were ready to be eaten.  There were also 6 different types of spices and condiments in addition to the soya sauce that could be used to your food.   I have to admit that most of the seafood was pretty fresh.  The abalone was maybe the only disappointment of the night where it might have been slightly overcooked as the meat was a bit chewy on our end.  Otherwise, for about $40 per person, the rest of the night was pretty filling and satisfying.   The really satisfying part of the evening was the end where the soup that had been used to steam the food was richly mixed together and really washed the rest of the food down.  It was very simple yet so good.  Although the price may have been slightly on the higher end, it was in the end somewhat reasonable given the types of food that we had.  One table beside us did order the herbal soup base where we could tell that it too was quite satisfying and enlightening to that table. In the end, it was a pretty satisfying night.  We also had a 20% discount card from one of our friends which made it more enjoyable.  Overall I give it a 4 out of 5.
