It's really sad. Alan Jackson (not the Singer/Songwriter) started the first Lemonade store here. It was amazing in its heydays - say from 2008-2015. The menu would change during seasons and there were 'surprise' dishes. It was also a fun 'people watching' spot. At some point Lemonade removed the beautiful 'privacy friendly' walled garden (around the store perimeter) and things went downhill. From there, the selection became mundane (have to wait a whole season for new items to arrive) and the quality of food went downhill. In their Mexican street corn dish, they replaced the tasty spicy corn nuts with regular corn and a disgusting runny liquid cheese that many a time tasted like soap. Gavin Newsom (a.k.a. Nuisance) and Garcetti basically let the neighborhood get 'destroyed' by high taxes and weak rent hike protections on businesses leases. Then the businesses disappear and people aren't served. You have places like Cuvee, Lemonade, Brooks Brothers, Fico, etc disappearing like the Ficus trees on Robertson Blvd. Losing the leases...

Im writing this review because lemonade used to be an la institution. Although I wasn't surprised when this location reported it was closed, it did make me sad. This was the first basically high end salad bar. They use to be so gooooodb! Then all of a sudden it lost its soul and it just wasn't that same vibey chic place I was used to. Back on the day it was just a vibe and great food. Kinda sad to see this location closed. Goes to show you how things can change so quick.
