Took my mother and brother to Leoht in Hobart for Mother’s Day brunch and overall had a really pleasant experience. The food and drinks were amazing. I had a cold-pressed orange juice with turmeric, lemon, and ginger, followed by a blueberry, banana, ashwagandha, and honey smoothie, plus an incredible cornbread dish with jalapeño, poached egg, avocado, and capsicum jam. I also grabbed an iced matcha with strawberry purée and coconut maple cream for the road, which was delicious. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and welcoming. I really loved the minimalist aesthetic of the café, and the view of Mount Wellington in the distance from outside added something special. Sitting out the front in the sunshine made for a beautiful Mother’s Day brunch. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was a confusing experience upon arrival. I had called early to ask about reserving a table and was told bookings weren’t accepted for groups smaller than four, so we took the chance and came in anyway. When we arrived, we were initially turned away and told there was no room, but while leaving we overheard another group of two being offered a table. I went back and asked if we could use one of the outdoor tables that were free, which worked perfectly fine for the three of us, though the interaction felt a little awkward and the staff member seemed annoyed. Aside from that small issue, everything else was genuinely excellent and I would definitely come back again. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

What a great little spot to have a coffee! We were just walking around battery point when we bumped into this beautiful cafe and I already want to come back. The coffee was great in terms of taste and temperature, I usually don’t like Campus coffee, but they dealt with it really well. Dropped in for a coffee and the atmosphere was great so we booked for dinner that night. Food was delicious, service was so genuinely warm and friendly and the atmosphere was even better. You can feel the love and passion the owners have for this little food haven. We have already planned a return trip to Hobart so we can enjoy again. Highly recommended.
