Joining everyone else who rated this food truck stop a 5 in Pahoa. Service is friendly and food is made fresh for every order. To us, that's special and makes the 20 minutes wait time worthwhile. We ordered crispy pata, a delicious deep fried pork hock and a must have if you stop here. It takes about 20 minutes to make but boy, this is absolutely great tasting! We spent the time browsing at a fresh produce store and just enjoying the breeze and people watching. Portion of the crispy pata is ginormous at $14 per pound! We also ordered lumpia $8 for 8 pcs and pancit with roasted pork for $17 which is reasonable. Do note that Leo's is open only on Fridays and Saturdays but this is a not to be missed stop for a great value meal when in Pahoa. Mahalo and maraming salamat po! Leo’s Kitchen, Tucked along Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road, is one of those food trucks you stop at once and immediately want to come back to. The Filipino food here is flavorful, comforting, and served in generous portions that are perfect for sharing with family and friends. My favorites: roast pork, smoked milkfish and crispy pata. Everything tastes homemade, like it came straight from someone’s kitchen rather than a restaurant. Even if you’ve never tried Filipino food before, the dishes are easy to enjoy and full of familiar, satisfying flavors. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great spot for both locals and visitors. Definitely come hungry and bring people with you as this is food meant to be shared.
