My review is minus one star. My husband and I went to Leo's Ristorante on Sunday, April 30th at about 1:30 pm. The restaurant had only two tables that had customers. We waited at the door several minutes before we were finally recognized. One of the servers was busy taking an order and the other server (Alyssa) was busy texting. We were finally seated. Reviewed the menu and had several questions regarding the preparation of the eggplant and the Veal Parm. The texting server which we learned later was Alyssa became our server. I asked her questions regarding how the dishes were prepared and she had no idea but said that she would check. My concern was the wording in the menu that the Eggplant Parm was "Layered breaded eggplant baked in Leo’s classic Marinara and topped with melted provolone. Served with a choice of pasta $18" I questioned if it was fried. Was told that it was fried but not in a deep fryer. The fact that it would also be baked led me to believe that this was an authentic Italian recipe. My husband ordered Fish & Chip. When our orders came, we both questioned the meals. The eggplant parm looked like fried breadcrumbs with melted cheese on the top. My husbands fish & chip had the same breading as the eggplant. We both questioned the dishes to the server. I tried what was suppose to be the eggplant and it was completely undesirable. My husband's fish wasn't much better although once you took the breading off, the fish looked OK. Our server returned and asked how the dishes were. I told her that the eggplant was absolutely awful. She was snarky and returned a comment to me that no one has ever had a problem and that the food is delicious. I couldn't believe that a server would speak to a customer who was dissatisfied with a dish in such a manner. She offered me another dish but I told her that I would just eat the pasta. Never brought the issue to the kitchen and then avoided us during the rest of the service. We were charged for the full meal. I was very upset and decided that our best option was to pay our bill and leave. I can't image that the recipes being used was those of the founders Leo and Gina. If you want authentic Italian food, Leo's Ristorante is not the place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30
