We visited the La Villette area twice and ate at Les Bancs Publics each time. The first time was based on the Yelp review for places in the area, the second because we loved it so much the first time. The restaurant changes their dishes and desserts every day, offering a fish of the day, a meat of the day, and a few other dishes. The entrecote or rumsteak options are always available. We all ate the lentils with grilled octopus at our first visits. Today, two of us had the entrecote and one had the tuna. We also each had a different desert (fraisier, plum tart, flan de coco) and did not leave a crumb behind on any of it. The team there is careful in sourcing their ingredients. This is a friendly place. Tourists and locals are welcomed just as warmly. The service is really fast and friendly. It is busy. You may want to make reservations if you are on a tight deadline.
