All our food was fresh and well seasoned. I ordered the beef stew and it had great flavors. The bread that came with it was also nice and warm. It tasted like they had just baked it. The tofu skewers also had a really nice flavor to them. We also ordered the fried rice and enjoyed that as well. It was a lot of food and we ended up having enough to take to go. I love supporting local businesses, but I do miss the food truck. Let's get into things dirty and honest. For food: I ended up getting the Hu Tieu Special and my parents got the dry noodles Le's Special. My soup turned out fine, though it was on the salty side. My parents' dry hu tieu? Unfortunately, it was simply noodles and soy sauce. Had this been my first experience with Le's Kitchen, I wouldn't have returned. HOWEVER, because I've gotten the Banh Mi on Baylor's campus and loved it other than the high price, I wouldn't mind returning. Let's talk about service: the lady with glasses who was in charge of our table gave us a dirty to-go container beyond simple smudges. Inside the container were burnt black crumbs? Additionally, when we tipped her, we said out loud that we'd tip her in cash because we put in the wrong number, but shortly after we got a notification from our bank and noticed that she corrected the issue herself and gave her more than a fair share. American tipping culture isn't my favorite, but don't you think this is a bit much? Overall, the verdict: Le's Kitchen was better in the past and I'll forever mourn the fact it was ruined, especially because of the self-tipping server lady. Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re very sorry that your recent visit didn’t meet your expectations. We appreciate your honesty regarding the dishes — it’s concerning to hear that the dry hu tieu fell short and that your soup was too salty. Your comments will be shared with our kitchen team to ensure we maintain the quality and flavor that our guests love.Regarding the service issue, we sincerely apologize. This is not the standard we strive for, and we will address it internally to prevent it from happening again. We truly value your support as a long-time fan and understand how this experience could be disappointing. We hope you might give us another chance in the future to provide the quality of food and service that made you enjoy us in the past.
