Atypical place, a storefront that can surprise more than one person, once you enter you arrive in another world: burlesque, family, mountainous, in short we feel good!!! For the meal it's the best, fresh and quality products, very generous plates, a feast for the eyes as well as for the stomach. A big thank you to the owners who welcome you with great sympathy. The decor is very atypical and a little crazy but a change from what we're used to seeing, it's very pleasant! The food is very good and the plates are well stocked. The welcome and the service are good, bonus when leaving the restaurant with the foam cannon :) we ate well for not too much money, an address to keep! Les Mélèzes is my new favourite place in St Malo! The dining room is a feast for the senses with an overwhelming amount of weird and wonderful objects and pieces of art decorating just about every available piece of wall and ceiling. The other main feature of the room is an open fire/grill where the chef cooks the brochettes and steaks which are the signature dishes of the restaurant. I had the filet mignon of pork skewer which was cooked perfectly and served with a decent portion of home made rustic chips and salad. The other main dishes on the menu are a variety of cheese fondues and raclettes designed for sharing. This isn't your typical St Malo restaurant and maybe not the place for a quiet romantic dinner but otherwise it's brilliant.....also a 25cl beer is only €3 which in St Malo is a rare thing.
