Went for breakfast with my family, restaurant was empty, one guy working there with a stinking attitude standing around doing nothing. Sat down ourselves, a very sweet older lady was the only other person working there and doing pretty much everything by herself - taking the orders, preparing the food, serving it by herself. Meanwhile this guy half her age is sitting around doing nothing. My kids went out to the outdoor area which was EMPTY and he said they can’t sit there because it’s a shisha smoking area and some nonsense about the council. I told him there’s no one smoking shisha and he had the audacity to say that HE is going to be smoking shisha there. I thought this was some kind of joke but lo and behold 10 minutes later he’s actually sat there by himself smoking a shisha and scrolling on his phone with a grin like a little school girl. Meanwhile this poor older lady is literally doing everything, going up and down the stairs herself to cook the food and bring it up. A couple who came in after us were waiting for someone to attend to them whilst the clown outside was smoking and scrolling until the lady served them. They waited forever for their food and were clearly irritated by the whole situation which I don’t blame them. The lady working there herself remarked several times that she had no one to help her as if this other guy didn’t even exist. When I eventually went to the till to pay because Mr Shisha was too busy the lady apologised for the experience and explained again that’s she basically working alone. When I asked her if that other guy is meant to be working there she confirmed he is but I get the sense she’s used to this kind of behaviour from him. It’s a shame because the place itself is nice and the food is decent but the guy working there genuinely ruined the experience. I don’t know if he’s the owner in which case I hope he reads this and fixes up and has some respect for a lady twice his age doing all the legwork. If he’s not the owner then I hope they get rid of this absolute waste of space. Meal type: Breakfast Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
