Nestled in the heart of Fall River, The Liberal Club is a Portuguese-American establishment that blends traditional and modern cuisine. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, with a lively bar area and a cozy dining room. The interior design is simple but elegant, featuring wooden accents and vintage photographs on the walls. The price range is reasonable, with most dishes ranging from $10 to $25. The location is convenient, with plenty of parking space and easy access from the highway.
One of the special features of this fine dining spot is its outdoor seating area, which is perfect for enjoying a sunny day or a warm evening. Another highlight is the live music, which ranges from karaoke to local bands. The bar offers a variety of cocktails, such as the classic Margarita and the refreshing Mojito, as well as soft drinks and a selection of wines.
The menu boasts a wide array of seafood dishes, including the popular Fish and Chips, the flavorful Scrod Scampi, and the generous Fisherman's Platter. For meat lovers, the Portuguese Steak is a must-try, featuring a juicy sirloin steak topped with a zesty garlic sauce. Vegetarians will appreciate the Kale Soup, a hearty soup made with kale, potatoes, and chorizo. The establishment also offers catering services and two adjacent halls for private events.
Overall, The Liberal Club is a great place to enjoy delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a night out with friends, this establishment has something for everyone.

Delivery club is now under new management, the portions look like I can't really say there's fisherman platter. It looks like we had foams and fish sticks and frozen shrimp. I'm sorry to say never again. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: $90–100

I wanted to give the Liberal Club in Fall River a try under the new management, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. Everything came out cold, there wasn’t even a steak option on the menu, and overall the food just seemed very blah and lacking flavor. I was expecting a lot more and honestly left feeling disappointed. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Here’s my honest opinion:. This place use to be one of our favorite spots. We use to go weekly! The Prime rib was always on point, lots of options to choose from delicious calamari with lemon and banana peppers and garlic butter was always a must! steak tips-kale soup to die for. We haven’t been and quite a few years… “we don’t live near by” anyways fast forward to lastnight we had Our heart set on getting prime rib we sit down and begin to order…no prime rib was available ( on a Friday night about 7pm) then the waitress proceeds to say there’s actually no steak on the menu which is crazy cause they used to have steak tips and all kinds of stuff. Anyways, we’re starving no big deal. We’ll figure out something else to eat…the place use to be packed when we use to go must of been about 5 other tables ( should’ve been a sign) I ordered some fried calamari , A cup of French onion soup and a stuffed quahog, my husband ordered a cup of Portuguese soup and order of chicken tenders and shared the calamari with me, My son ordered a plain hamburger with nothing on it. The waitress asked how he wanted it cooked and I answered not pink and she said so well done I said, but not burnt please, with fries. Before the food comes, the waitress comes back over and says I’m sorry but we have no banana peppers for the fried calamari. We use the Portuguese hot peppers. Is that OK? OK another letdown but no big deal. That’s fine. We’ll take it that way. So the food finally comes out The fried calamari looked pretty good totally forgot to bring us lemons and my husband always asks for extra no big deal. We’ll catch her when she comes back She brought us 2 wedges must of been a shortage…(along with the steak) the Fried calamari was not worth the price it was a huge letdown compared to what it used to be…my stuffed quahog was cold definitely couldn’t melt the hard cold piece of butter to go with it. My husbands Portuguese soup was cold he was super disappointed! (But he would never complain in person he tried to eat before he almost puked due to the mystery meat in it. ) My French onion soup was nice and hot. I only ate the cheese off of it because there was weird things floating in it. And as far as my eight-year-old son who wanted just a plain hamburger, it came out half burnt on one side with the charcoal pieces of the grill still on it and the bun was so soggy my poor kid didn’t even touch it. Thankfully we ordered my husbands odd chicken tenders because my son at least ate most of those. The waitress came over and looked at the table and seen we didn’t eat any of our food and asked if we wanted a box. My husband and I looked at her and said in all seriousness. Just the check. Obviously, she didn’t care because if she did, she would’ve said you guys didn’t eat anything. Was everything OK? Maybe compensate something I guess she just didn’t wanna know or already new it sucked! As she took away the plates, I looked at her and said “the soup and quahog was cold By the way you can let them know” and she says ok and walks away then brought us the check of $80 worth of food plus tip of course…for us just to go through Burger King drive-through once we left at 9 o’clock at night because we were still starving… so sad. All that being said, I don’t usually leave reviews but since we decided we will NEVER go back! We had to let it be warned! such a shame on what used to be an amazing hole in the wall restaurant, top-notch food and service to deserving to be CLOSED or just be a bar for the locals very disappointing. I suggest NOT to bother trying it’s not worth it! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: $30–40
