Visited yesterday for bottomless brunch, will not be returning and I’d tell everyone to avoid at all costs. For £50, you expect better than slow service, cold food and unbelievably rude staff. Arrived at 3pm, didn’t receive a drink until 3.30pm, had 3 drinks all together (not even decent cocktails) and they still had the audacity to kick us out at 4.30pm (quite rudely too!). Don’t waste your money. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I attended the Boozy Brunch as part of a hen party (24 people), which was booked weeks in advance. We all paid a £10 deposit, as requested. Two days before, the organiser received a text asking for everyone’s final balance. This was not made clear at the time of booking, nor at the time of paying the deposit. When the organiser raised this, the response was that it was in the terms and conditions. The place itself was hard to find. We arrived at 2:55 for a 3pm boozy brunch. The staff were still cleaning and setting up. We got let in at 3:05. There was three bottles of Prosecco on the table for 24 people. The table was not big enough for us all and we had to be moved to another table where the staff had to get extra plates, cutlery etc. We were all finally seated. The chips were put on the table - three portions for 24 people. We asked for more prosecco as we had only had three bottles, the staff were rude with this request. We then asked to upgrade to the cocktail menu and order some cocktails. The staff stated that this should have been done in advance, which is the complete opposite of what the organiser was told over text (that we would be able to upgrade on the day). We finally got our first drink at 3:20 and the food then started to come out, so the chips that were put on the table at the start were cold. We had to ask for more platters as they tried to provide three platters between 24 people. There was nowhere near enough food for 24 people. The saxophonist was really good and the DJ / music was good. It was a good atmosphere. The staff were not coming to the table to take our drinks orders, we had to go up to them to order more drinks. There was not enough staff working. The staff were stressed and then taking it out on us. They were not accommodating at all and very rude. The curtains opened at 4:22 and security entered telling us we needed to leave as the brunch was over. I queried this as the brunch was supposed to be 90 minutes and we did not have a drink for the first 20, nor a table even!! They did not care and just kept repeating that there was another brunch at 5 so we needed to leave. One member of staff stated “it’s not my fault, is it”. They did give us plastic cups to take our left over drinks onto the terrace, but did not help us pour these just told us to pour any drinks off the table into them and head upstairs. Whilst we were doing this, the security and other staff were rushing us telling us to leave right now. All 24 of us paid £10 each for the terrace and we were given one bottle of vodka with one jug of lemonade and one jug of soda and a bucket of 10 beers. I did not think this was worth £240. The table given to us on the terrace did not fit us all on again. The queues to the toilet were ridiculous and we were told to go to the pub next door. I would tell everybody to avoid at all costs. For a party who had spent £1,440, we all left hungry and very disappointed and only had one hour of brunch. We did get nice pictures though with the Liver building Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £40–50 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

Went to Liberte Sky Garden yesterday and I have to say, I was not disappointed. The staff were attentive and friendly, the cocktails were lovely, and the atmosphere was amazing. Sitting in the sun on a rooftop terrace, sipping cocktails and watching the world go by — what more could you ask for? Highly recommend! Price per person: £30–40 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
