After visiting JR Kumamoto Station, you may have a meal at this cafe. Nothing can be better than tasting good pies and perfectly cooked rolls. The chef at Licht cooks tasty profiteroles, fruitcake and biscuits. You will hardly forget great latte, iced coffee or cold coffee that you can taste.

Coffee was incredible, staff friendly, atmosphere was lovely on a rainy day as I waited for my bus. I my book there by accident. I messaged them on Instagram and they were so helpful! Quick responses and arranged posting it back to me in Tokyo, along with a hand written note! So sweet and kind. Will definitely be back if I'm back in Kumamoto! Incredible coffee, food, and baked goods. Wife and I had breakfast French toast special (delicious blend of crisp outer and rich tender inside) with pour overs of El Salvador and Columbia, perfectly balanced. We came back several days later and had iced Ethiopia which had a beautiful highlight of floral and fruity, and latte which my wife loved. A must stop in Kumamoto. Licht is a coffee shop nearby the station that opens early in the morning; therefore, I paid a visit while waiting for the tourist information center to open. I truly loved drinking their drip coffee while enjoying the great view through the window from the second floor. I highly recommend you all to stop by here if you have time in the morning for a cup of coffee!
